December 2016 was a month full of closing homes for sale before the New Year for all Real Estate Agencies and as you may or may not be aware; our office had a magnificent Auction turnout for 15 Cilento Crescent, East Ryde. With an overwhelming amount of people there our Agents David Jarvis and Ben Boutros managed to exceed the Vendor’s expectation by selling it for $2,967,000, making it the NEW SELLING RECORD FOR A SINGLE RESDIENTIAL SALE IN NORTH AND EAST RYDE! James Sarzano and Janet Fletcher, two of our other agents, had too a magnificent sale on 11 Finch Avenue, East Ryde selling it in just 7 days. They also worked very diligently on four other properties, selling them the first week of December.
Auction clearance rates have been off the charts in Sydney, rising above 80% throughout the early spring selling weeks. Though the high results, there was still a lack of properties on the market last year. These factors have combined to prompt prices to skyrocket, as buyers want to snap up whatever stock is available. We do expect the market to grow at a healthy rate for 2017, as there is still much interest in the local market.
